Badfinger 的成员 Pete Ham(主唱、吉他手)、Tom Evans(贝斯手)、Joey Molland(吉他手)、Mike Gibbons(鼓手)。Badfinger 在1968年与Apple Records 签约之前以Iveys 团名在Liverpool 起步。由于Apple Records公司是Beatles 投资的唱片公司，因此Badfinger与Beatles的成员关系非常好，他们的第一支单曲即由Paul McCartney作词作曲制作的 “Come And Get It”，其它合作的还有与George Harrison的”All Thing Must Pass”；与Ringo Strr的”It Don’t Come Easy”； 与John Lennon的”Imagine”。 很可惜的，在1970年起Stan Polley担任Badfinger的经理后，Badfinger的命运从此改观。尤其在1972年Stan Polley将Badfinger从Apple Records的手中转签约给Warner Bros后，财务每况愈下，且官司缠身，终导致主唱Pete Ham因受不了经济及精神压力，于1975年4月23日在伦敦自宅车库内自缢死亡，享年27岁，当时他的女友已怀孕一个月，自己却是身上空空的穷小子。 1975年以前，Badfinger 总共发表了四张专辑—“The Magic Christian” “No Dice” “Straight Up” “Ass”。Pete Ham 是位才华洋溢的作曲家，亦是队中的主要动力，写过 ”Day After Day” “No matter What”以及抒情经典 “Whitout You”(与Tom Evans合作)。 但悲剧并未结束，正如 “Whitout You”曲中所写 ’I can`t live without you….’他的合作伙伴Tom Evans在Pete Ham自缢死亡八年后，也跟着上吊自杀，享年35岁。 (Paul McCartney在一次很偶然的机会里发现了Badfinger的一盘小样，就这样这几个穷小子一步登天加盟甲壳虫的苹果唱片公司。在McCartney影响下，乐队在风格上极其接近甲壳虫，当时一度被称为“穷人的甲壳虫”。乐队的命运也始终和甲壳虫紧紧联系在一起，当第三张专辑《Straight Up》取得巨大成功时，苹果唱片公司已陷于管理混乱的泥沼。不久后乐队加盟华纳公司，希望能凭借新专辑《Wish You Were Here》摆脱困境，但华纳公司怀疑乐队有造假帐的行为，从此乐队被华纳公司搁置起来。一九七五年，乐队主唱兼吉他手Pete Ham因无法承受巨大压力自缢身亡，乐队不得不宣布解散。五年后，乐队重组，厄运却没能放过他们，一九八三年，回天乏术的贝司手Tom Evans过世。)
