The river banks golden willows, Like brides in a setting sun; Beautiful shadows in bright waves. Waving in my heart. The soft mud\'s green grasses, Bright green,waving on the river bottom; World I were a blade of water grass, In the river Cam\'s gentle waves. That lake under the Elm shadow. Not a clear fountain but a rainbow in heaven Twisted into floating weeds. Precipitating rainbow dreams. Dream searching?Push a long boat pole, Upstream lowards green grass and an even greener place, A boat filled with starlight, Let loose a song midst pointed starlight. But I cannot sing, It is quiet like a parting Hsiao; The Summer insects are also quiet for me, Cambridge tonight is silent. Quietly I leave, Just as I quietly came; My steeves are waving, Not taking away a single cloud.
