H I M就是芬兰的哥特金属乐队his infernal majesty的缩写。于1995年的夏天正式成军。
主音Ville Hermani Vallo唇红齿白，乍看柔媚仿若女子，但他的声音厚实低沉，他们的音乐中充满了低沉的旋律和神秘的爱情故事.

迷幻的首先是造型,其次是歌声.在他们的世界里,我们仿佛是醉鬼,心底的痛被揭发,肆意的笑,然后说些不着边际的肺腑,带着哭腔,压低声线,直到嘶哑地喉咙疼痛.面对痛苦,我们往往以毒攻毒,甚至自我摧残,然后后悔,后悔挚爱的远走.

Ville Hermani Vallo受kiss乐队的影响比较大，因此流行元素较重，可以称得上是流行金属了。“爱情金属包括着流行、金属、歌特、魔幻等元素。这是由第一次接触、第一个初吻的感觉所激发的。爱情金属就象Gone with the Wind电影海报画的那样——Clark Gable在夕阳下紧紧拥抱着Vivien Leigh。”Ville对于爱情金属是这么说的,也就难怪他了。这首听起来还是挺过瘾的。Ville的嗓音低沉，磁性，富有情感。看他在台上时，一手拿着瓶红酒一手叼着支烟的样子，还真有点当年Jim Morrison的风范。
