克里斯·蒂伯（Chris De Burgh）1948年10月15日出生于阿根廷。是一位擅长用音乐讲故事的人。由于父亲任职于英国外交部，他从小得以藉父亲工作之便，游历欧洲各国，因而对中古世纪欧洲的各种传说产生浓厚的兴趣.70年代他一出道，便以优雅洗炼的文字和浪漫凄美的旋律，诉说许多中古世纪的传奇故事，结合摇滚的强劲力道与管弦乐的柔美，打动了无数欧洲歌迷的心。

Chris De Burgh的代表作有 “The lady in red”打入美国排行，英国排行榜的榜首。还有一首温馨感人的小品"For Rosanna"，是他为出生不久的女儿罗珊娜而写的。推荐在首页的那首。另外，专辑《Spanish Train And Other Stories》中的一首“A Spaceman Came Tranelling”（即齐秦的“直到世界末日”的原版，难怪游鸿明最喜欢的明星是Chris De Burgh，呵呵。

不过，个人最喜欢的是77年专集《At the End of a Perfect Day》中的这首i will。“For the world can only live when love can sing” 一个没有爱的世界将是多么的荒漠和枯瘠，然而歌曲并没有一丝悲观的气味，相反，歌声中蕴含着一丝坚硬的力量。。尤其是当chris一再唱到“Just to be a part of Nature once again/I want to be a part of Nature once again/And I will...”的时候，细腻的歌词，真挚的情感，充满了对爱、和平和生活的一种期望。一个深藏在每个人心底的梦想。让人感动不已。
