      Eric Benet，一位深具创作与演唱才气与俊俏外表的节奏蓝调歌手，在歌坛载浮载沉10余年，也许没有太多人记的起他，但是与他首位奥斯卡黑人女主角得主前妻Hallie Berry(荷莉贝瑞)，闹的满城风云的娱乐头条新闻，想必还让人有点深刻映像吧？仍然受到唱片公司的重视，Eric经历婚姻失败的打击，再次站起来全力投效音乐领域，期许创下令人满意的佳绩！从小就受到福音乐曲的洗礼，加上嘻哈/节奏蓝调与灵魂乐的影响，Eric自小和他姊妹与表亲们合组Benet乐团，在1992年签入Capitolt主流大厂发行专辑，虽然无法引起市场注意，但是深具才情的Eric，开始计划独自单枪匹马发展个人演唱事业。累积出的经验，很快获签入主华纳音乐体系，分别在1996与1999年推出《True To Myself》与《A Day In The Life》两张专辑，其中与节奏蓝调性感女歌手Tamia合唱的 "Spend My Life With You" ，攻入节奏蓝调榜冠军，更在葛莱美奖上大放异彩，获得“最佳节奏蓝调重唱组合”大奖，代表黑人音乐荣誉的Soul Train音乐奖之“最佳节奏蓝调/灵魂专辑男歌手”，接着出现在一些电视及电影中轧上一角过过戏瘾！

　　Eric Benet的音乐，有一种能跨越时间界限与众不同的纯粹感动。深受教堂唱诗班、60至80年代流行音乐影响的Eric Benet，92年曾与他的家人以Benet为名发行专辑，并于96年发行了个人的首张专辑「True To Myself」。2000年才出了第二张专辑“A Day In The Life”。经过六年的漫长等待，Eric终于推出第三张个人专辑《Hurricane》，以他温柔灵骚嗓音，刮出最为诱人的音乐风暴，专辑制作方面加上Eric本人，一字排开高达11人之多，可见唱片公司有多么重视此次的振作再出发！以空心吉他指引出的开场曲 "Be Myself Again" ，就是象征经过风风雨雨一路走来的Eric，为此次真于自我再次现声，所表示出的决心与笃定；动人宣泄节奏蓝调柔美嗓音与协调之合声搭配， "Pretty Baby" 呈现耐听十足的唯美佳作；具有动感放客声调及淡淡拉丁情怀的 "Where Does The Love Go" ，有着闻乐起舞的声感悸动；琴键优柔飘荡四周的催泪情歌 "My Prayer" 与 "Cracks Of My Broken Heart" 、爵士钢琴轻抹的 "Last Time" 以及舒适民谣韵味的小品 "In The End" ，都是专辑中值得推荐的优质佳作集！散着现代都会柔美情调、品尝浓郁灵魂及节奏蓝调的慑人媚惑、真假转音的诠释出如同Babyface的声调质感，Eric的再出发，绝对不只感动你的双耳，更直达你的内心最深处！
