对于Led Zeppelin，对于Stairway To Heaven，听者之众让我感觉再多一点介绍都会成为老生常谈，尽管我无法对这些公认并中肯的说法来一次翻天覆地改造。但我还是希望有更多的人能够感受到这支世界上最伟大的重金属乐队的魅力。。

Led Zeppelin 重金属的始祖人物，他们创造了重金属摇滚的雏形，吉他手Jimmy Page更是60年代重搖滾吉他推弦及扭弦的鼻主。。有太多理由可以证明这支乐队的伟大，但我们只需要这一个理由——《Stairway To Heaven》，已经足够。。。

乐队于1969年发行的专辑《led zeppelin ii》被誉为重金属摇滚乐的奠基之作。这张精练了众多摇滚风格，创作狂噪扎人的唱片，定义了重金属是如此一种风格。同年11月， 此专辑高居全美排行榜首138周之久，从而奠定了世界最伟大的摇滚乐队之一的位置。

1971年《led zeppelin iv》专辑推出，Stairway To Heaven 这首重金属的传世之作也就此诞生。。。

歌曲讲述了一位少女坠入金钱的深渊，将自己的灵魂出卖，而她以为那才是她心目中的天堂。歌曲出色的双吉他Solo传神到无懈可击。静溢清晰的民谣箱琴渐入Robert Plant忧郁的倾诉，即而，在飞速宣泄的吉他solo声中 ，爆裂的金属乐淹没了整个乐曲，使人们的听觉和感觉在短短的几分钟内有了一个极大的反差。从一开始就十分动听的分解和弦到"Times New Roman"在歌曲结尾处的一段著名的"Times New Roman"都将这首《"Times New Roman" Stairway To Heaven》铸就成为不朽的经典名曲。后来有无数著名的乐队翻唱过次歌，但没有一个可以超越Led Zeppelin的演绎。

而时至今，它依然被金属迷奉为心中永恒的颠峰之作。。。
